The old school club in Battersea

I started renting the working space in the old school club at Battersea business centre from this month. This is far more productive than working from home!

Started modelling

At this stage just putting modelling mixture onto the polyethylene without thinking too much about the muscular-skeletal structure.
Thickness of this layer so far about 2mm.

Modeling Mixture
(Sawdust, CMC, Artista Formo and Wood glue)

Foundations of hands and feet.

Making the core shapes of the dolls

Cutting the polystyrene blocks to make the core shapes. This is my least favourite process purely because of static electricity.
I might as well make two dolls.

Starting to make a new doll

Although I haven't finished the previous doll, I feel like making a new one. This is a basic drawing of its proportion. It is going to be 60cm tall.

Shorts for KOTORI

These are slightly slimmer shorts requested by the shop called KOTORI in Hayama, Japan.
I used three fabric patterns ; Angela Christina, Small Susanna and Kindl.

 

 

Dress Making for Dolls

 

1. Basic design in foil.

 

 

2. Toile version with leftover fabric.

 

 

3. Final piece with Liberty Tana Lawn fabric (Mauvey).
